Bio Eco Clean was founded as a way to introduce healthier, safer cleaning practises into schools, childcare centres and offices. A few years ago we discovered that some of our cleaners were suffering from headaches and getting sick from using traditional cleaning chemicals. Further research found that staff members were also suffering effects from the residues left behind by these chemicals. If the staff were suffering the affects of these cleaning products, what did that mean for the children? After some diligent research, we decided to make the switch to green cleaning. We tested several cleaning methods and the effectiveness of different "green" products. In the end, we decided the best way to go was with products that have been third party certified by Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA). The next step was to employ the services of leading green clean expert, Bridget Gardner to develop a green cleaning program to train our cleaners. With overwhelming approval from our cleaners, we are confident that we have implemented the best cleaning methods and products currently available. Since making the change, we have found that our turnover rate is lower and our cleaners are happier and have fewer sick days.
